(Free Online Audiobook) Northern Lights By Nora Roberts

Nate Burke, a new character picked by Nora Roberts for a description is not like author’s regular characters. Nora these days tries to write differently and thus we find less of the women stories that were dominating once in the form of Come Sundown and Hideaway.

Nate Burke the main man in the story comes to Lunacy a small town in Alaska because he thought that he had seen and done enough. As a cop in the city he saw his fellows dying in front of him and now in this quiet town he wishes to spend the rest of his active life in peace. No issues thus disturb him anymore but this also makes his life dull and rather boring. Just when he thought that his decision of coming to Lunacy was wrong he met Meg.

The kiss between the two on New Year’s Eve brought back the spark of youth in their lives. Meg a loner type of girl, spends most of her time on the edge of the town but Nate’s presence now starts bringing her closer to the town. Both start developing a nice relationship that could lead to a happy life and then Nate starts digging up something terrible.

An old case that has remained buried in the snow of Alaska for a long time and most of the locals think that it came to a dead end long ago. Nate thinks that there is more to it than the mere clues that exist on the surface but this digging can cost him his new happy life.

All these years Nate has thought of an ideal life with a perfect wife but now when it is all in hands he thinks that duty call is more important. With Gary Littman’s narration we listen to a story of love, suspense and action at the end with extreme results.
