Afraid of the Dark by James Grippando – Audiobook Online

Smart writing, great narration
Great characters, clever storytelling, a complex and interesting story, great writing and impeccable narration make this another Grippando home. This novel, like all in the Swyteck series, has its own merits. I’ve read five parts and none of them are in sequence.

This story is complicated because Grippando is involved in the dark world of surveillance, human trafficking, private military companies, and Islamic terrorism. Thankfully, it’s written very clearly and truthfully. As the mystery is unraveled, the suspense grows.

I found Audible’s audience very diverse and enjoyed reading. No one author can please all of us. But if you’re a thrill-seeker like me, then James Grippando is the hidden treasure we’ve been looking for. Sure many are familiar with him, but thanks to two Tar Heel critics, Wayne and Shelly, I’ve become an admirer of his work.
