Great continuation to the series
What do you love most about Ancient Ruins?
This book is a bit slower than the first 3 in terms of its action, but it has spent more time covering the Characters and Political Situation on RIM. This time we also got to see a lot more of the Baron, which made for some fascinating reads. Rudnick opened up the Baron Navy, and we have to see that through Tanner’s eyes as he explores and describes his new surroundings. It’s very cleverly written, allowing Rudnick to tell us about these things, but giving us a protagonist who is the narrator, but it’s all in the story. This story also explores Lady St August much more that everyone has been waiting for.
Without giving away too many spoilers, they are transported to an uncharted planet on their dismantling journey, and discover something life-changing within Barony and within RIM. We also get to see the new Terminator in action really cool.
This is a very clever, very engaging and very well written story.

What does Shawn Saavedra bring to the story that you wouldn’t be able to get through just reading the book?
This was the first time hearing Saavedra as Storyteller, and I think they read it very well. Overall, he reads clearly and concisely, with a great voice for both sexes. The great thing about narration is that it brings the story to life, drawing you into the story unlike if you were just reading it, making you feel like you were really part of it.
