Heart of Ash is the second book in the Blood and Salt Novel Series by author Kim Liggett.

Kim Liggett begins the novel forcefully with her vivid descriptions. Although readers were sent back to New York and Spain instead of Kansas, Liggett captivated readers with appeal. Ash tries to see the good in Dane and tries to believe that he is ultimately trying to resist Coronado’s grasp on him. However, Dane’s connection is the closest she has to finding Rhys.
