Monster Song is the second love book in the series by author JB Trepagnier.
I figured out why I can talk to animals and monsters. I met my father, and I did not expect his answer. He commands several legions of demons and he is working to gather more to help us overthrow Demeter. We’ll need all the help we can since I don’t have enough Hephaestus powder to free each monster in the pit from being trapped in their monster form by those necklaces.
My monsters, the ones I have known, can now return to human form and they want revenge on Demeter. They want to save their queen, Persephone. I didn’t expect to be included in this, but I did now. Even Hephaestus snuck into the Underworld to help us.
I guess all the unloved gods and monsters will have to fight a deranged Goddess with Mount Olympus by her side. I am not a monster or a god. I’m only half a demon. Now that my father knows about me, we can have Hell’s help on our side.
I didn’t ask for this, but there’s something about these monsters that makes me want to help them. It’s no shame that they’re all gorgeous and horrible flirts. I can even ignore that Pavlina and Tryphon like cannibals.
This is the second review I’ve ever written and I feel honored to write on this absolutely tremendous series. Reading this book, well the entire series for that matter, was like living in this world. The drama is crazy, the action gets the blood pumping and the romance and spice are strong. I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate the unhinged main character and the very detailed monologues that explain her emotions.
