Mrs. Dalloway – Free Full Audiobook

Mrs. Dalloway is a literary fiction book by author Virginia Woolf.
It was June day in London in 1923, and lovely Clarissa Dalloway was throwing a party. Who will she meet? Her friend Peter, back from India, who never really stopped loving her? What about Sally, with whom Clarissa had the happiest moment of her life?

Shell-shocked Septimus Smith was struggling with his life on the same day in London.

Dalloway uses the characters’ inner monologues to tell a story about England between the wars.

I was rereading this 1920s conscious dream classic novel.
The book concerns Mrs Dalloway of the same name, the wife of a Member of Parliament during the interwar years living in Westminster Llondon, preparing to host a dinner party and the action unfolding over a 24-hour period.
The novel is written in stream-of-consciousness style. And it looks at many different and varied topics including politics, celebrities, family, live, suicide and more.
I enjoyed Mrs Dalloway a lot although I don’t think I enjoyed it as much as To The Lighthouse, which I both rate four stars.
