Number Neighbors By: Emma Hart/ Free Full Audiobook

Number Neighbors is a love story by author Emma Hart.
Bad idea number 241: send a dirty text to your neighbor’s number.

In my defense, my friends did it too, and their neighbors took it as a joke. Mine is not. He replied with a dirty text of his own. Next thing I know, I have a regular texting appointment at 10:30 every night.

Until I had to miss out because the feral cat I adopted a week ago was sick. The only person I know who can help me at this time of night is my English neighbor and local vet, Isaac Cooper.

I’ll keep him overnight, he said. This is my number to call me in the morning, he said. Problem? I know that number.

I have now read a few of Emma Hart’s books and have started and put down many more. I have come to the conclusion that I do not like her writing. That doesn’t mean she’s not meant for others. Just not me. It’s a pity, because I’ve often been intrigued by the premise of her books. They just fail to execute.

First, this book commits romcoms’ biggest sin: the female MC is an idiot. Not even that she made the wrong decision. She actively works to be as ugly an American stereotype as she can be.

The female MC was dared to text her neighbors by her friends a few years ago. Then the neighbor texted her back an obscene text and they started having sex. As far as possible.
