Out of the Tank/ Privateer Tales, Book 7 – Online Free

Out of the Tank is the seventh science fiction book in the Privateer Tales series by author Jamie McFarlane.
The veteran, Tabitha Masters, is expected to live the rest of his days with the scars of battle. But, after her crew made a deal with the devil (Smuggler’s Dilemma, Privateer Tales Book Five), she got a second chance. A month in the health tank and Tabby’s wounds are repaired, replaced, and even upgraded.

Within hours of being discharged, Tabby received news from Shri Ganguly – a veteran and survivor of the Red Houzi war. Shri believes she is being targeted and hopes Tabby can help.

Tabby will need everything to recover, while facing the danger that threatens her friend.

Here is another short story. More like a chapter than a book. That’s from Tabby’s point of view, as she narrates it. Trouble finds her and her friend Shri. Two wounded soldiers. I know about PTSD, but haven’t had it, I don’t really know how bad it is, just what I’ve read. You will read about it here. War is terrible and I think the wounded are more difficult than the dead. As a species, I guess we are doomed to its cycles. I hope when we find the aliens, they have learned their lesson and are not warriors.

Not bad, although I was expecting a bit more. I guess I’m spoiled. Introducing the new and improved Tabitha Masters. Totally no waste of time, but that’s all I can say for this quick read. Now, let’s continue with the program. I’m so glad she’s back and better than ever, but… Well, you get it. This could be better.
