Red Mars – Audiobook Online

Red Mars – Mars Trilogy, Book 1, Audiobook Online By: Kim Stanley Robinson

Winner of the Nebula Award for best novel, Red Mars is the first of Kim Stanley Robinson’s best-selling trilogy. Red Mars is praised by scientists for its detailed vision of future technology. It was also praised by authors and critics for its vivid characters and dramatic conflicts.

For centuries, the red planet has enticed the people of Earth. Now, an international team of scientists has colonized Mars. Leaving Earth forever, these 100 people traveled 9 months to reach their new home. This is the remarkable story of the world they created – and the hidden power struggles of those who want to control it.

Although fictitious, Red Mars is based on years of research. As living space and greenhouses multiply, an incredible panorama of our galactic future emerges from the red dust. Through the narration of Richard Ferrone, each scene is filled with the energy of the designs and dreams of extraordinary pioneers.

Kim Stanley Robinson has created the most imaginable colony on Mars. I found the book Sound Fascinating. After reading all 3 books in the series, I can say that the concepts in the book are completely real. The reader has portrayed the characters in the Novel very well, each character is different in my mind.

When it was newly released, I read this book and loved it. Now that decades have passed, I find it even more powerful. KSR merges science, politics and romance with ease. Excellent reader/ but I’m surprised he used such a harsh tone with Frank and John. As I write this, I wonder if the vocal similarities are intentional.
