Scimitar SL-2

By: Patrick Robinson, Narrated by: David McCallum

In the middle of the Canary Islands lies the huge crater Cumbre Vieja. Scientists theorize that the volcano will one day erupt, triggering a series of events that lead to a tsunami higher than any tsunami in recorded history. This super-tsunami, with waves over 150 feet high, will devastate Europe, Africa and eventually the East Coast of the United States, causing massive loss of life and property.
It was discovered that Ravi Rashood, America’s arch-enemy, former SAS officer now head of Hamas, hatched an insidious plot against the West: to fire a guided cruise missile. The nuclear warhead, the Scimitar SL-2, is named for the curve. Sword of the Muslim warrior Saladin, the citadel of Cumbre Vieja.

U.S. Admiral Arnold Morgan, retired National Security Advisor, knew something worse would happen after Rashood blew up Mount St. Helens. But stopping him won’t be easy. As the terrorists’ deadline approaches, Morgan and his team must consider the unthinkable and take on the daunting task of organizing the mass relocation of major population centers along the East Coast to safe land. more complete. Morgan finds herself battling her greatest enemy, racing against time to locate Rashood, the underwater bandit, and stop him before the unthinkable happens.

This book is wonderful. A rogue submarine targets the United States, and Admiral Morgan (known from several previous books) is tasked with finding out what’s going on and what to do about it. I strongly recommend reading the books before this one, especially Barracuda 945, the book that laid the foundation for this book. I usually finish the book in 1-2 weeks, I read this book in 3 days, it’s very good.
