Unforgettable and heartbreaking, Setting Free the Kites is a poignant and moving exploration of the pain, joy, and glory of young friendship.

I just finished reading “Setting Free the Kites” and absolutely LOVED it. Back in 2012, I read Alex George’s “Good Americans” and enjoyed it. I occasionally check Amazon.com to see if Alex George has published his second book and have been patiently waiting for it to arrive. That day has come!! The characters in this book are so real that I feel like I am a part of their lives. I feel very emotionally invested in this book. I try to read slowly so as not to finish it too quickly. Now my only question is “are you writing your third novel now”? Please hurry up!!

So was looking forward to a new book by this author. I absolutely loved his last book, A Good American, and unfortunately the story in this book is pretty okay if not sad. Perhaps without reading another book by this author, I would not blindly order without some research.
