Atticus’s apprentice, Granuaile is finally a full-fledged Druid. Furthermore, Atticus thawed a long-frozen Archdruid, a father figure (of sorts) that now has the modern equivalent of his old Irish name: Owen Kennedy. And Owen has some catching up to do. Atticus enjoys the role reversal, since the student is now the teacher. Between breaking Atticus’s ribs and trying to learn a cell phone, Owen also had to learn English.

But Atticus wasn’t the only one with his problems. Granuaile faces a big challenge: banishing the spirit of a sorcerer who has possessed her father in India. Even with the help of the witch Laksha, Granuaile will likely face a crushing defeat.

As the Druid trio deals with plague-spreading demons, bacon-loving snowmen, ferocious flying foxes, and frenetic Fae, they hope that this time around, the trio will be a charm.

One of the best collaborations between author and narrator has been done with this series and especially with this book.
