Small Wars Jack Reacher Book 19.5 – Online Audiobook

Small Wars – Jack Reacher, Book 19.5, Online Audiobook By: Lee Child

In this new exclusive short story, Sunday Times bestselling author Lee Child goes back to 1989, when Jack Reacher was serving as an officer in the military.

A young lieutenant colonel in a stylishly handcrafted uniform races through the damp woods of Georgia in her new silver Porsche – until she meets a very tall soldier with a broken down car. What could connect a cold-blooded shooting with Reacher; his brother, Joe; and a secret unit of pointed heads from the Pentagon?

Small Wars is a brand new short story by Jack Reacher, published exclusively as an audio download.

Includes an exclusive chapter from the new Reacher novel #20, Make Me (published September 10, 2015).

I liked the surprise elements of the book because I wasn’t very familiar with the Jack Reacher series. It was a bit cumbersome to read at first, but soon the story made me stand still waiting to see what would happen next. I would definitely recommend this book to most adults who have little time to read it right away. You won’t want to stop reading once you start.

This is the first short book by Lee Child that I read; it has a typical Reacher-style plot and it’s good to have his personal side, as NCO Neagley and his brother Joe were in it.
I found the ending so abrupt as if the deadline had been reached or the word limit for a short story had been reached. Perhaps less descriptive text typical in a full-length Lee Child novel would have given more opportunity to build on the conclusion.
