Storm Breaking Mage Storms Book 3 – Online Audiobook

Storm Breaking – Mage Storms, Book 3, Online Audiobook By: Mercedes Lackey

As Storm Breaking began, the western allies, led by Karal, the Karsite Sunpriest and authorized to the Valdemaran Court, and the Adepts Firesong and An’desha, traveled deep into the Dorisha Plains to locate the ruins ancient ruins of the Tower of Urtho, Mage of the Silence, maker of gryphons.

Legend has it that beneath the Tower, buried deep in the plains, is the Catacombs of Urtho, the hidden stronghold of some of the most powerful magical weapons ever created – weapons that Urtho himself found too dangerous to use.

With the help of the people of the Shin’a’in Plains, they have successfully excavated this ancient arsenal and risked their lives to activate one of these ancient yet powerful tools of death to unleash a terrible mage energy. With this burst of magical power, Karal, Firesong, and their companions temporarily resisted the growing waves of mage storms. But they know that this desperate act will not save them – they have bought themselves precious time, but are still far from a lasting solution. They now know that shamanic storms are the timeless “echoes” of the prehistoric Great Flood that destroyed the Urtho Tower, created the vast and barren Dorisha Plains, and permanently disfigured them. their world more than two thousand years ago. And they also know that if they don’t find a way to banish these wondrous vibrations, they will lead to another Great Flood – this time destroying their world forever.

But the Vault isn’t the only thing buried for centuries beneath the Dorisha Plains and encamped in the ruins of what was once the workplace of the most ingenious wizards their world has ever known, fellows. Desperate allies soon realize that their solution may be a lie beneath the dust beneath their feet. Their saving of the world can only be accomplished by the work of a man who has been dead for millennia!

I’ve always liked the books in the valdivar series, this is a very nice epilogue to the hurricane series if you’ve read the first two, you must read the third if you haven’t read any. I recommend this series to anyone who loves servants.

I have loved Mercedes Lackey and Valdemar forever, so I love this story. I love David Ledoux as a dramatic voice actor but his mispronunciation of words like gaes, duchy, collegium, etc jarring like potholes on a flat road. I tend to think that an editor should have been listening to correct such things, or that if Mr. Ledoux didn’t know a word he could have googled the correct way of saying it before guessing.
