Super Powereds: Year 2 is a literary fiction book by author Drew Hayes.
Although their secret was revealed, the residents of Melbrook Hall still returned to Lander University for another year on the Hero Certification Program. This year’s focus is on teamwork, because knowing where they’ve come from, they’ll have to rely on each other more than ever.
Finally as sophomores, their curriculum expands, allowing them to train in specialties that the Heroes specialize in. The new classes will test their mind, body and determination in ways never before possible. In a year filled with revealed secrets, unexpected entanglements and, of course, wars between superpowers, it’s anyone’s guess who will stand. Because if all that wasn’t enough, last year’s kidnapping plot is unraveling more and more, and the results point to something much bigger than mere rogue educators.
This series is one that I can’t watch enough of and have loved so much.
This book is even better than the first one. Like all books in the series, the book is building into a roller coaster ride near the end. All the characters are much more developed in this book and many of the supporting characters have a bigger role than the previous one. There’s something to love about all of the protagonist’s friends, and something to respect about their caregivers and teachers.
In this book, we are introduced to new professors, who are my favorite among the professors at the school. The professor was subtly sly and cunning, all he should be for that subject. The melee professor has a really great power. He has the strength and knowledge to use it and guide the students in his class.
