In the spirit of the festive season, Sylvia and Elm Creek Quilters set out to set up market stalls in the ballroom and decorate the halls with beautiful handmade holiday blankets. Each person chooses a favorite blanket to display, a special creation that evokes memories of past holidays and dreams of the coming Christmas. Sarah, a first-time mother of twins, worries whether she will be able to raise two babies, especially since her husband is often away on business trips. Agnes is cheerful with her white hair reflected on the beautiful sequins quilt she made as a young bride and the long-lost mysterious antique blanket that inspired it. Empty nesters and sometimes rivals Gwen and Diane ponder heirlooms and unfinished projects as they look forward to welcoming their children home for the holidays.

But while Elm Creek Quilters work tirelessly to make sure the Christmas Shop goes on, it may take a holiday miracle or two to make it the huge success they desire.
