Newly transgender, Ron finds himself too distant: kicked out of the house by his family, abandoned by his girlfriend, and unable to afford to return to college in the fall. He’s come to Wyoming for a fresh start, a chance to prove that – even though he grew up as a girl, even though everyone in Boston thinks he’s transgender – he can live. like a man.
In Wyoming, he found what he was looking for: rugged terrain, enveloping ships and a clean slab of rock. He also stumbles into a world more dangerous than he imagined, a world of bigotry and violence. He has a crush on an attractive young woman who seems as interested in him as he is in her. Ron’s real adventure begins, a search for the right place in America, the right place within himself to find truth, happiness, and a sense of belonging.
