A comedian dies on national television in front of 40 million viewers, and Area 87 detectives must solve the puzzle of how he made a person mad enough to kill.
This book returns to a format where two cases are investigated at the same time. There is little crossover and different detectives deal with them one by one. The main case involved a TV character who died on his live show. An estimated forty million viewers nationwide witnessed his death, hence the title. The second case offers a deeper look into Bert Kling’s personal life and has a ‘continued’ feel to it.
