When Flinx, no stranger to galactic intrigue, found an unconscious woman on a riverbank deep in the Alaspin jungle, he strode. He learns that the woman, Clarity Held is a brilliant scientist kidnapped by a group of fanatical assassins from a remote outpost on Longtunnel, he tries to help the beautiful Clarity return to his project. The assassins are still active. They will do anything to stop Longtunnel research and will kill anyone or anything that gets in their way.

This is one of my favorite series by a great author who has also written several Star Wars and Star Travels stories, A great find, well priced and well worth it. to order/read, if you like sci-fi stories where the main character is young. possesses a capacity for understanding and reasoning much more mature than in his years, also possesses and trains in compassion, having an empathetic connection with a deadly venomous Alispian flying snake. This particular book shows the Flinx falling in love with a geosoldier he saves from eco-fanatics.
