The Golem and the Jinni is a novel by Helene Wecker about two supernatural creatures that appeared mysteriously in 1899 in New York. Chava is a golem animal, a creature made of clay, bringing to life a strange man with dark Kabbalistic magic. Ahmad is a fire creature born in the ancient Syrian desert. He was found by the blacksmith in an ancient vase. Afterwards, Golem and Jinni struggle to survive in this world. They are inseparable close friends, sticking together to fight the forces that threaten their lives.
