Grave Secrets is a mystery novel by author Alice James.
Toni Windsor strives to live a quiet life in the verdant and pleasant county of Staffordshire. She mastered the rules of the game, got a nice boyfriend, and earned some commissions as a real estate agent.
All of that may have to wait, because there are zombies rising from their graves, vampires sneaking out of their coffins, and a murder to solve. It’s all made more complicated by the fact that she’s the one raising all the zombies.
She is also dating one of the vampires. It might not be the best decision she’s ever made, but he’s beautiful.
What a great plot, if somewhat twisted. A necromancer, a vampire and a zombie walk into a bar… I wouldn’t be surprised to find this scenario in a future story.
Alice James’s characters are easy to love, the story is easy to read, and the final page feels too approachable.
