Keep My Heart in San Francisco – Audiobook Online

Keep My Heart in San Francisco is a beautiful book by Amelia Diane Coombs.
Caroline “Chuck” Wilson has big plans for spring break – boost her real estate sales to score her vintage finds and visit the fashion school she dreams of attending. Her father ruined that plan when he suggested that she spend the holiday to work at the ticket counter at Bigmouth’s Bowl, her family’s run-down bowling alley. Chuck discovers her dad is behind on his rent – meaning they could lose Bigmouth’s, the only thing keeping the Chuck family in San Francisco.

The only person besides Chuck who wants to do anything about it is Beckett Porter, her annoyingly attractive old best friend.

When Beckett proposed to Chuck a serious money-making plan to break into the Bay Area action bowling scene, she accepted. She couldn’t shake the uncomfortable feeling that she was acting irrationally – too much like her mother to be comforted. Her best efforts to keep things serious, Beckett’s charms are keeping her coming back… in ways that extend beyond friendship.

If Chuck fails, Bigmouth’s Bowl and their San Francisco legacy will be gone forever.

The family business is failing, and Chuck knows that if it fails, she’ll be forced to leave San Francisco. She loves this city! It’s part of her, and she’ll do anything to stay. But she wondered if it was worth making up with her old best friend after he betrayed her?

I won’t lie. I expect this to be smoother than it is. That said, I enjoyed it anyway.

Chuck is looking to keep her heart in San Francisco, and she did a great job showing me why. I am extremely excited when a book takes me to many places, and Coombs skillfully transports me to San Fran. She took me around the city, showing me famous places, as well as some places I didn’t know yet. Her admiration for the city is evident throughout the story, and I had a great time touring the city with her.
