Lord High Executioner – Audiobook Online

Lord High Executioner is a good book by author Frank Dimatteo, Michael Benson.
Umberto “Albert” Anastasia was born in Italy at the turn of the century. Five decades later, he was fatally shot in a barbershop in New York City. Why every crime family has a reason to want him dead. This is one of the most brutal and compelling stories in American organized crime history.

An in-depth account of the man who became one of the 20th century’s most powerful and murderous crime bosses from Mafia insider Frank Dimatteo is the first full-length book chronicling Anastasia’s bloody rise to power. from an immigrant to the founder of the infamous hitman club Murder, Inc.

But Albert Anastasia is a man who defies all descriptions. He is the elegant thief Albert: a well-dressed artist who will apologize to his victims – and kiss their women’s hands – when he robs them with a gun. He is the murderer Albert: the merciless assassin of the Mafia godfather Vincent Mangano is narrated here in grisly direct detail. He was Albert, the record-breaker: the first man in American judicial history to be charged with four separate murders – and freed after each.

He is again the last obstacle in the dream of becoming the boss of rival Mafia boss Vito Genovese – and must pay a heavy price.

if you want to say Frank Dimatteo is a friend as well as his mother, Dee..but even before meeting Frank, I was a huge fan of his first self-published book.
Lion In The Basement..is basically an autobiography of his growing up time as a member of the infamous South Brooklyn Gallo Crew..led by the Gallo brothers, Larry, Albert & Crazy Joey Gallo infamous leader.
That book has hundreds of photos and actually details Frank growing up as part of the crew of The President St.
I also read Frank & Michael Benson’s excellent biography of recently deceased Colombo Family boss Carmine Persico AKA The Snake.. which tells the story of Persicos’ rise from a notorious teenage gang leader in Brooklyn to when he became the longest running Colombo Family boss to date. his recent departure. & it includes some of Frank’s mother’s experiences hanging out with him as a child which I found particularly amusing
