Measures of Absolution/ Frontlines, Book 2.2 – Audiobook Online

Measures of Absolution is a science fiction book in the Frontlines series by author Marko Kloos.
In the aftermath of the Battle of Detroit, Corporal Jackson discovers how the 365th AIB was attacked in the Public Housing Cluster and why the Territorial Army may have lost control over a large portion of Detroit. A novel in the Military Terms universe.

Too many people. No work, just welfare living and dying. If we’re not careful this is where we’ll end up.
And the government has taken the step to use armored police to keep order. And sadly eventually keeping order doesn’t work without organized killing. Seems to be happening today just not as organized today as portrayed in the story.
Beyond all of that though the story is very interesting. Kloos is very good with these types of stories.
And most if not all of his stories are Kindle Unlimited and in my opinion worth reading.

For less than two bucks we are treated to a tale of a dysfunctional future America written with clarity and energy. Kloos looks at current trends in our nation and lines them out into a future of bleakness and terror. What happens when the welfare class realizes that it has no hope, no future and no way out of its trap? Violence so great that the death dealing professionals must be brought in to keep the projects under control.
Kloos presents an entirely plausible scenario which takes place in one of our major cities a lifetime or so in the future.
He writes with an admirable precision. His character, even in this shortish story, has enough roundness to him that we care if he does or does not get greased by some malcontented city dweller. That is good writing folks.
