But Lana’s determined to prove that she…even if it means trading her stilettos for snow boots and tracking one of the town’s hairiest Christmas mysteries: the Santa Moose, an belongstlered Grinch hell-bent on destroying every bit of holiday cheer (and tinsel) it can sink its teeth into.

The last few years have been tough on Rick Harding, and it’s not getting any easier now that his dream girl’s back in town. When Lana accidentally tranquilizes him instead of the Santa Moose, it’s clear she needs help, fast…and this could be his chance to finally catch her eye. It’s an all-out Christmas war, but if they can nab that darn moose before it destroys the town, Rick and Lana might finally find a place where they both belong…together.’

It is the second installment in the Moose Springs, Alaska series, following The Tourist Attraction.

Our lead lady, Lana Montgomery, works for a real estate development company working on a project in sleepy little Moose Springs, Alaska. Basically, the town hates her and everything she stands for so she cuts out her job to try to win them over. She thought in her head that if she could catch the rogue elk that was destroying everyone’s Christmas display, the town would be more accepting of her. The elk has been dubbed ‘Santa Moose’ and is elusive and anti-Christmas.

Lana begins spending time with tough local bar owner Rick Harding, and the two begin to develop a friendship along with some more flirtatious feelings, though Lana accidentally shoots him with a tranquilizer dart god in an attempt to capture Santa Moose. Their budding relationship isn’t without some challenges, but what a good romance is.

Overall, I found the story to be super cute, and very Christmas, and it has everything I’m looking for in a book this time of year. I’m really looking forward to reading the first installment in the series and I’m already looking forward to the third installment coming out, Enjoy the Scenery, in January.
