In the “intense and captivating” conclusion (Kirkus Reviews) to the New York Times bestselling Diabolic series, the Empire is teetering on the brink of doom as rumors spread that Nemesis is still alive.

Three years ago, Tyrus Domitrian shocked the galaxy by killing the woman he swore to love forever. The woman he supports the Empire. The woman he wants to build a brighter new future with.

Now, the once ideal heir has become the evil Emperor of Tyrus, wielding his power with an iron fist, capable of destroying planets with a single word, controlling every technology with just one word. with a simple thought. He brought Grandiloquy to his knees and no one had the strength to stand against him.

But there was whispering among the Thua people. They say that Nemesis didn’t really disappear. They whisper about her shadow being discovered in distant star systems. They say that Nemesis is alive. That she would rise up and rally everyone to overthrow the man who was once her true love – and now her fiercest enemy.

I fell in love with this trio from the first time I met Nemesis! I love the narrator, the way she delivered Nemesis’ lines was absolutely perfect! Without giving too much, I would give this book 10 stars if I could!

I’ll start by saying that the narrator really brought this book to life. There are so many different characters and each character has a special quality in their tone and manner of speaking, to the point where you always know exactly who is speaking and it’s been consistent across all three books. This book gave me everything I felt a trilogy should deliver, bringing every single character story in the previous two books to a satisfying conclusion. All questions are answered, they stay true to their personalities even in the most extreme situations and don’t suddenly develop the perfect skill set or mindset just to continue the story. I was very pleased with the way it ended and although I hate to see a great book ending, when it ends in a way that suits the characters you already know so well throughout the story, it makes all worth it.
