New Shores is the third science fiction book in The Eden Chronicles series by author S.M. Anderson.
The forces on Eden are licking their wounds after their victory over Strema.
Their new allies and neighbors, Jema, are free for the first time in a thousand years and they want their payback. Jema will fight Kaerin on Chandra, with or without Eden’s help. On Earth, the dumping fire continues to burn as Sir Geoff and Task Force Chrome are being hunted down by the ISS and military. The battle for freedom raged across the three worlds. The only group capable of traveling between these worlds was destroyed by gunfire and without a pilot.
The author has spent a lot of time creating the worlds you will find in this series. That shows up quite clearly in the amazing detail about the different Earths, the people who inhabited them, and the challenges faced by the original group from our earth. Dimensional travel is an interesting concept that you’ll find very common in science fiction, but these books outperform most other books that use dimensional travel as an ending. Although the characters use “MacGuffin” for their travel, this is like a book about combat tactics, strategy, good guys, bad guys, prisoners and war. If you want to read this book, I recommend you start with Book One.
