Otterly scorched – Audiobook Online

Otterly scorched – Audiobook Online by Tara Sivec .

It’s been many years since Dax Trevino was a playboy detective for the Franklin Police Department. He’s been through hell and back, and now he just wants to be left alone so he can cuddle his otters.

When his two infants are kidnapped in the middle of the night and Claws and Effect’s pet detectives are called to the rescue, the quiet, moody Dax never expected that he would be taken by the only woman. That he once regretted having cheated and handcuffed for all these years formerly.

Harley Blake has dedicated her life to taking care of her accident father with a love of dead animals and a 40-year-old brother who refuses to grow up. The last thing she needs is another complication in her life, and Detective Douchebag is at the top of the list.

Dax may not be a cop anymore, and he may have evolved beyond the once-and-done player state, but that doesn’t mean she’ll get burned a second time and fall into a spell  his charm. The angry man had made a mark on her heart many years ago, ensuring that she would never forget him. Besides, she has a case to solve for the guy, and this is just business.

But the sarcasm starts to fly away, there’s a bunch of adorable otters that need to be cuddled up, a Bandit Von Trash Panda who just wants to play poker, marzipan and wedding-dressed squirrels… at a party mourning.

Things are heating up – and not just from a small tree fire after a grenade explodes – and this man is suddenly simplifying her life instead of making it worse.

Harley knew this time she wouldn’t escape without being “burned” once.

I love everything about Tara Sivec and her quirky love affairs. I admit when I read the description I was a bit hesitant. The concept seemed more distant than usual for her. However, this book turned out to be extremely interesting and kept the listeners interested. Highly recommend you check out these otters. Five twinkling stars!

I was hesitant to read the third book in the series because it seemed a bit off topic. I loved the first 2 books in the series. I love otters, and so far Tara hasn’t let me down, so I went looking for it. I’m glad I used the credit for this book. It’s very funny throughout the whole book. All the characters have their own quarks and are perfect for the story! The sexy scenes are great. This is a true romantic comedy. I highly recommend if you want a good laugh.
