Queen of Sorcery is the second science fiction book in the Belgariad series by author David Eddings.
Legend has it that the evil god Torak coveted the power of the Aldur Orb, until he was defeated in the final battle. The prophecy also speaks of the time when he will awaken again to find a way to rule the whole world. Now the Orb has been stolen by a priest of Torak, and the time has come. Belgarath the Sorcerer and his daughter, Polgara the Arch-Sorceress, are tracking down the Orb, seeking to retrieve it before the final disaster.
