I really liked the first book in the series, but I REALLY, REALLY enjoyed this one! The writing is compelling, the main character great, and the theme of Arwa reclaiming the legacy that has been denied to her is subtle. I also enjoyed the relationship between the romantic main characters. Very attractive!
Pre-purchased this book last year after completing Empire of Sand. This is an impressive sequel that does not suffer from a “second year slump”. Love the world building, lyrical prose, and heart-pounding adventures of the main characters. Here wishing the author to return to the Ambhan empire soon with another spell binding book!
