Jane is out to make a name for herself no matter how high the costs. Start with exposing the true selves of the Carlisle Hunters. On the other hand, Kai just wanted to destroy the Carlisle Hunters and destroy them. Things get even more interesting and heated between the two when Bram, the leader of the Stonefire clan, assigns Kai to “watch” Jane after they discover what she’s doing and the fact that she’s in danger. life-threatening. Thus Kai and Jane find themselves, much to Kai’s dismay, working on the same case.
I really enjoyed hearing Kai and Jane’s story and am so glad Jessie Donovan put them together. You can only feel the chemistry between the two of them when Kai first meets Jane on Stonefire and his intense desire for her.
Kai met his life partner when he was young but she chose another mate forcing Kai to close himself. However, Kai’s dragon has other ideas and wants to take Jane as his. The inner battle between man and dragon as opposed to only man and woman is a great piece but to be able to listen to Kai and his struggle with dragons is even more uplifting and humorous. so many. Matthew Lloyd Davies really outdid himself to bring Jessie Donovan’s words to life.
