The second story is great in what will hopefully be a full-length series. An annoying complaint, I’m pretty sure it should be “Yoke” and not “Yellow” unless you’re driving a raw egg. On the other hand, your books rarely have obvious spelling or grammar mistakes, but I’m no one’s English teacher either.
This book is simultaneously funny, thrilling, engaging, action-packed, mysterious, heart-pounding, and even romantic in a twisted way. With the interactions between the new and old characters, and the alignment with other sequences in the verse, I see the path of Resonance as promising a long and exciting journey for all of us.
