Mike Lupica turned this series around. He went back to Parker and dropped Lee Coleman’s weak writing that made me ask for a refund for Coleman’s last rock novel because it was so bad I couldn’t finish half the book. This has a great plot, a really cool murder mystery that turns into a murder mystery pair. Fun, witty and entertaining. We now have a true Parker heir carrying the mysteries of Jesse Stone.
Estate Robert B. Parker commissioned Mike Lupica to continue the Jesse Stone books. I believe real estate made the correct choice. Mike Lupica is a popular sports writer and bestselling teen author. A longtime friend of Robert B. Parker, Mike Lupica is really attached to what makes Jesse Stone tick. “Paradise of Fools” is a fascinating book with many unexpected twists and turns. Highly recommended.
