Valeran feels bored. Corbett went bankrupt. Andreton and Donald are on the run and Dorian just wants to do the right thing. Not the best recipe for a search party but when you are driven by prophecy, sometimes the combination is decided for you.
Action, sharp humor, and a smart, character-driven plot are the hallmarks of Eddie Skelson’s adventures and he delivers it all in a story about a fantasy world. this absurdity.
Having a sense of humor doesn’t detract from the main plot.
My problem is, like his superhero novels, this is like half the story.
Maybe the author gets bored easily and just ends things as soon as possible.
The Crowley Collection works because it comes together in 4 stories. I’ll probably wait until Mr S is done with his fantasy and Super Heroes stories before investing in very small efforts
