Great narration from Catherine Tabar, Padme’s voice actress in Clone Wars. Great growth and focus for her, Padme, her staff, and other characters. A great way to bridge the gap between episodes 1 and 2, a great pacing change from Disney’s cannon that complements the prequel’s cannonball. I don’t intend to keep it, but I would highly recommend it to any Star Wars fan.
I don’t follow Johnston, but I think she’s grown as an author since ‘Ahsoka’. The complicated situations were handled skillfully so that I could easily follow the story line and I liked the fact that Padmè was getting heavier and heavier. I’m also happy to learn more about Naboo and their ancient tradition of Handmaidens.
