So I have to say that the book really “starts” about halfway through, maybe more. I was bored throughout the first half with Jackie being a weirdo, and couldn’t understand why, after all this time, she was obsessed with Harlan. Honestly I still don’t know. She seems to have a happy marriage, great job why would she bother about her ex-boyfriend. Making no sense remains to me.
I loved this book as I skimmed through half the book and ended up reading the good part. I was pasted then! Great book if you can get past the boring stuff in the first place. I was completely caught off guard with secrets! OH.
