Sweet Filthy Morning After is a beautiful book by author Christina Lauren.
Sweet Filthy Morning After, a quick and short look from Ansel, the night after his meeting and marriage with Mia in Sweet Filthy Boy. At just 30 minutes, it’s a nice extra story to refresh the events from book one and lead up to the next.
Told from Ansel’s perspective, the condensed version of Mia and her friends’ post-graduate “last hide” is a wonderful story: we see Ansel’s thoughts on life as he wakes up in the morning.
There’s nothing to be ashamed of here, Ansel is surprisingly calm and focused: with a great sense of humor and a unique body awareness that he embodies with a lousy French accent. As we follow his thoughts as he shares a morning with Mia – this is all an 18+ story of content and engaging elements, and it offers moments of “more ” is small that the first book does not have.
Jason Carpenter’s narration is amazing: his voice fits the narrative and his ability to use stress, pauses, and smiles to enhance the story, even for 30 minutes, is well worth listening to. I recommend picking these books up in order – they’re fun, easy to follow with characters that will feel familiar and logical.
