The Midnight Watch / Sigma Force, Book 10.5 – Audiobook Online

The Midnight Watch is a novella from the Sigma Force series by James Rollins. The story revolves around the sinking of the Titanic, and the involvement of the main characters from the series in the aftermath of the disaster. The story begins with members of the Sigma Force being sent back in time to investigate a possible threat to the timeline surrounding the events of the Titanic. Once they arrive, they discover that what they thought was a mission to stop a terrorist plot is actually a test from their boss, Director Painter, to see if they can handle the assignment. After passing the test, the Sigma Force team is tasked with investigating the sinking of the Titanic and identifying a potential sabotage plot. Accompanied by a historian who possesses a rare book that contains secrets about the Titanic, the Sigma Force members begin their investigation. As they work, they discover evidence that points to a possible saboteur on the Titanic. They also uncover information about a plot to steal valuable cargo from the ship. The story then follows the Sigma Force team as they try to prevent the heist and stop the saboteur. The novella is full of action, suspense, and historical details. It also features appearances from characters from previous Sigma Force novels. In the end, the Sigma Force team is successful in stopping the heist and identifying the saboteur, but not without facing danger and adventure along the way.

The Midnight Watch / Sigma Force, Book 10.5, Audiobook Online By: James Rollins

New York Times bestselling author James Rollins has published a lightning-fast short story in which a major attack on American soil can only be stopped by… “The Midnight Watch”.

Late at night, an unseen adversary broke into the Smithsonian Institution’s network of servers, but it was only the first attack to cover up a larger attack. To rescue a biologist trapped in the National Museum of Natural History and uncover the true intentions behind an increasingly daring and bloody attack, Sigma Force must free his most stubborn agent – Joe Kowalski – to do what he is best at: lay down wasted on anything between him and his target. From a daring rescue to a city chase like no other, Kowalski will uncover the shocking truth lurking in the most unexpected place: the heart of the National Zoo.

Accompanying this short story is a sneak peek at the Bone Maze, where the events taking place here explode into one of Sigma Force’s all-time great adventures.

It was nice to see Kowalsky “promoted” to a key character, since he was brought into James’ world in the novel Ice Hunt where Kowalsky had a sense of involvement, before he joined the Force. quality Sigma, he became a supporting character at Sigma. After The Midnight Watch, the prequel to The Bone Labyrinth is completely different, he has made his mark and will be more dynamic, he is horribly funny. The prequel is short but action-packed and very Kowalsky… explosive and improvisational. Well done James.

James Rollins is one of my favorite writers because his books have the perfect blend of high-octane adventure, daring science, and often weird but true history that we never knew existed. The midnight clock is teeming with kinetic energy and action. His characters are believable and the story takes an unusual turn when a deep secret is revealed. I usually can’t put his books down and the only disappointment is that he doesn’t write more often. For nonstop action, adventure, and a mind-bending story, read this author.
